Tournament after tournament. Week after week. The combination of mental and physical fatigue takes its toll. Months start to feel like weeks and weeks…..days. You begin to think if you are really progressing, staying the same, or declining. There’s no real bonafide assessment after each tournament anymore. Just motions. That’s when you realize a step back to refocus and recharge is much more important than continuing to go through the motions.
After a solid 6 weeks of time off tournaments and intense training I’m happy to say that I’m glad to get back out to compete again. Time off also gave me the chance to spend more time with friends and family.
